John Edwards Off Presidential Campaign

John Edwards drops off the race to becoming president. Do you think he realized his chances were slim?

Were there other reasons for this decision?

When life presents a challenge, take your shot.

I think that it really has to do with money and effort.  It's a waste of time to continue spending money for a campaign that you have slim chances of winning.  I think that Edwards knows that he is likes by many (including myself) and that he very well may be chosen again to be on the democratic presidential ticket as vice president.  I hope that this will be the case.  Edwards should spend his time now supporting either Obama or Clinton, because it will be a better use of his time, money and effort.  Good luck to him.  He's a good guy.

I think he understood that his chances of winning this time around were quite small and that he wanted to make himself eligible for other opportunities in the future rather than waisting time now. I won't be surprised one bit if he'll be a very strong candidate in 4 years time after gaining some experience as Vice President or some other political position. He simply did what was in his best interest.
