Best or worst job interviews

Google gives "massage interviews"!  That sounds more relaxing than the usual interview.

What was your best -- or worst -- experience at a job interview?  (Bonus question: Have you interviewed at Google ... and did you like it?)

I never interviewed at Google because neither the company or the internet existed when I was in the job market. But I do remember my worst job interview at an elevator company. I was a young technical illustrator and the job called for someone who could draw up electrical schematics. After being shown the samples I told the interviewer, an older man, that I thought it was boring work. He looked shocked and told me the most enjoyable moments of his working career were in laying out and drafting complex electrical schematics. I did not get the job but found another more to my liking shortly afterward.

I click therefor I am

Well... I did not interview at Google (yet) but I did interview for Google via telephone. I had one general interview and one technical interview. And I am currently expecting a third interview.

The phone interviews were fine. The person on the other side was very nice and very easy going. They asked some very cute questions (the kind you can find all over the net).

I don't know if I'll get a massage one day, but the interview (and the interviewers) were some of the nicest I ever had.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
1.  I did many interviews via: e-mails, Skype, MSN etc...  But it was
always as a screen (to avoid meeting those who do not cope with
     the requirements).
2.  All those unconventional interviews can NOT replace a "normal"
interview, simply because you want to have a close look at the
"body language" too..... (Which is a very important part of the
     interview).
3.  Still many candidates can put a mask on their face..... the way I find
it extremely helpful is making the interview while asking the
candidate to drive in an unfamiliar area
.....  (Very logical: Driving
at a new place forces you to concentate on the driving and
consequently you have to be "yourself" at the interview...... can't
pretend).   Highly recommended.......  Try it (and you'll be thankfull).
Best regards,
D"r D. Oron
