1991 ghetto blaster recording of the 'Going Legit' song "Dead End Street" with Martin Silva on drums and Greenhouse Effect. Clark Hagins plays lead guitar along with sturdy bass player Rick Carmody...The album came out in February of 1991 and it presented a style of alternative rock which mixed distorted guitar with heavy metal with punk and garage. G.e. formulated a very original sound "and" LOOK TOO !! THEY WERE just a three piece with a loud manic stage show which often featured guitar destruction at set's end...Clark Hagins would go on to write "WHITE BLACK THANG" in 1992 and the song lingered veery small with slight college qirplay for about 18 years before exploding on the internet in 2008.

'Magic Man' is one of G.e's best known early songs (it appears on 1988's Global Warming cd),..and it is captured here with guitarist Phil Keegan in all his glory along with lead vocalist Clark Hagins, bassist Rick Carmody and Drummer Mike Valencia...On this afternoon in the South Bay, Greenhouse Effect performed along with 6 other bands to an increasingly drunken and hostile crowd...but G.e. carried on nonetheless with power and energy. This performance definitely lacks the usual tightness of a G.e. gig as normally Clark Hagins was the drummer but during this phase of the band, they were going increasingly "alternative metal' sometimes sounding sorta like the Red Hot Chili Peppers,...a sound that Clark Haggins did not like !!
