It's like saying, have a peaceful, happy, fun, restful, meaningful, spiritual Shabbat.... and I just wanted to say to those who apply, Shabbat Shalom.  It will be Shabbat in a few hours.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

Nice answer joooosh.  Every day one greets: "Shalom".... (and it means much more than "peace") on Saturday we say "Shabat Shalom" to emphasize and remind that it is Shabat.  In Yeddish the greeting is "Goot Shabes" (word to word translation: "Good Shabat".....).
Best regards,

When life presents a challenge, take your shot.

Do you mean why do they wish each other Shabbat Shalom?  If so, it is a way of saying, have a peaceful, restful, meaningful Shabbat.  Shabbat is supposed to be a reflective time of the week, different from the other days of the week.  Some people don't drive or use electricity on Shabbat (Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown)... and other people do other things to make the Shabbat experience special for them.

Israel & Zionism Anti Zionism is NOT anti-semitism. My view and many others too! I believe that zionism is racism, because 50 plus years after being exiled from their homeland, in defiance of the four Geneva Conventions, UN Resolutions 181, 194, 242, 338, and others, and other multilateral and international human rights conventions, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the disinherited refugees of Palestine, continue to endure merciless punishment from the Zionist entity, among some, like the bulldozing of makeshift homes in the Khan Younis refugee camp in Gaza and such. I am not in support of jews, arabs, muslims or christians here. A Palestinian child has the same and equal rights an Israeli child has, to a better life, to education, to peace and more. What one person views as hell on Sderot, it is as much likewise applicable to the people of Palestine. Both parties and everyone else use propagandas in their "mission". It is up to that individual to see the truth OR the "truth" each CHOSES to see. Free Your Mind.....

What Every Jew Needs to Know About Obama

Barack Obama is truly awe inspiring - in his ability to shift his political positions. He has tried to be all things to all people; more than any politician has ever had the chutzpah to try before! But, if you think this guy is going to end up as a friend of Jews or of Israel... well, let's just say I wish I had your powers of imagination. Have the guts to watch this video - whether you're Jewish or not - and then tell me if you still have the ability to believe such a thing. You might also want to take a look at .
