Jay Leno Out, Conan O'Brien In on NBC on 2009

Is Jay Leno really going to make way for Conan O'Brien?

Isn't it obvious Leno is not going quietly or willingly?

I think NBC are only paying lip service when they "hope Leno will stay on".

Are we in for a fight between the giants?

There's no way Leno is going to give up gracefully...

I suspect we're in for some nasty breaks from all parties involved...

I think Jay Leno said a long time ago that he was going to stop doing the Tonight Show in 2009. Jay is a class act and will pass the baton to Conan and move on to other things.

he is very funny, or rather, the script writters for his monologue are hilarious. Keep up d good work, will be missed?

I fear the demise of the Tonight Show...  Conan is an awful choice for a replacement for Jay.  I for one won't be tuning in.

My husband and I won't be tuning in either.  We would rather watch re-runs with Johnny Carson and/or Jay!  We won't watch Conan now ... and never will ... same goes for David Letterman.
