Japanes (?) pottery plate

I have purchased a pottery plate I believe to be from JApan.  The pottery is dark grayish brown and the flowers painted on it are dark blue,  The plate has a scalloped edge as well as a painted scalloped edge.  There are four Japanese marks on the back of it.

From this brief description can anyone tell me what I may have?

If you can describe the marks on the back of the plate that will help identify your piece.  Also, are you sure it's from Japan and not from China.  Do you know how old the plate is - was it greatgrandma's or from your parents?
