How do I write a character reference for a person ...

How do I write a character reference for a person who is in jail and

will go before the judge for sentencing. Overall he is a good person who tends to have memory lapses and has good intensions. He has also been active in AA anad working the program to the best of his ability.

Be anxious for nothing

Your honor, I have known ____ for __ years. We are close friends, and  he is and honest man with a lot of integrity, he just has memory lapses,which I am trying to help him with. He really has very good intentions, but sometimes makes poor choices. Etc.  Lay it on thick, tell about some of the good things your friend has done and productive things hes doing and working on.
