Irs help

Hi, Love your site. I owe the IRS about $8,000.00. With the way the economy is going, it could take a century to pay them off. I don't make alot of money. Job is unstable. I work at Wal-mart. How can I work things out with the IRS and not lose sleep every night?

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

This web site has various options that you have for paying the money you owe the IRS. There are also links to IRS forms.

You can try filing for an Offer in Compromise.  You can download the form 656 booklet on www.irs.gov.  You may be able to reduce the amount you owe or at least get manageable payments.  The forms are a bit involved and you may need a professional to help you get through it.  It takes quite a while for the IRS to process once it's submitted.
