Irish Vote No

Why do you think the Irish rejected the European Union reform treaty?

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

The Irish not only reject the treaty, they rejected it big time. They have seen that they can turn their economy around from one of the poorest to one of the most successful in Europe, without the so called benefits of the European Union. If I was living in Ireland, there is no way I would want vote for the reforms either. It would only lower my standard of living.

Life is too serious not to have a sense of humor.

They were drunk on election day?

Kibbutz, I do not have a clue what the EU reform treaty is, or was, or will be.

I have a tiny bit of Irish in me, somewhere in the maternal grandfather's line. But I do not follow them. Except on St. Patrick's Day.

I like your quote. The two names that immediately came to mine when I read this were Jesus and Hitler.
