What do you suppose would happen to an American who threw a shoe at a foreign leader in Washington?

Let him go?  Pig's ass we would.  He be locked up and facing charges for attempted assault at the very least.

He should have been riddled with bullets after he threw the first shoe! The secret service did a horrible job protecting the President.

He should be handled in the same manner as someone would from the US who threw 2 shoes at a visiting President of another country.  We would prosecute this individual.

I think he should face charges for 2 reasons:

1) He isn't an american. We can't just go around showing support towards foreigners who attack us or our leaders (Even if we don't like them), thats like patting Osama Bin Laden on the back for a 9/11 well done.

2) That's a form of assault and noone would get away with that in the States.

If this man should be detained for venting his rage at the man who's responsible for the destruction and mass murder in his country, than maybe Bush should have been impeached or better yet imprisoned for war crimes.  This man's anger is justified as far as I'm concerned---I would be furious if a foreign military came to my country, is occupying it, destroying and or stealing our natural resources, destroying historical landmarks like the military has done with its US WMD.  Personally, I think Bush got off REEEEAL EASY! He's going back to Texas with a smile on his face.

In our history it has never been known that a US representative disrespected the President of another Country in such a insulting manner.   If it were an American disrespecting another Country President they would call for his head.  This journalist should have behaved in our Country the same way we would've.  He should face charges as we would also.

he was only expressing his personal feelings the same as we would do here in America.  Just give him a jail sentence and a fine, thats what would happen here at home
