In Iceland there is representative democracy where the government succumbs the preside of prime minister which traditionally is the leader of one of the political party´s which manages to form majority at Althing, the Icelandic parliament, which is the legislature of Iceland. In Iceland ministers attend the parliament aswell as congressmen.
Icelandic administration is ran on two stages, of government and local commune regimen, both stages are voted for at least every four years. All individuals who have reached eighteen years of age have the right to vote. There is a tradition for the political party´s to vote for they´r list´s both prior to community regime and parliamentary elections. For the last decade´s there have been four to six political party´s that come forward to parliamentary elections and most of the largest community´s.
Althing of Iceland is the oldest legislature in the world. It was formed at Thingvellir, in the year 930. The parliament which consisted of the chief´s or the headmen, assembled there at Logberg (the rock of law) in June each year for they´r law making, and to pronounce they´r adjudication´s. The public was also allowed to monitor the preliminary readings. That is customary still today.
Language is Icelandic, an Indo European, German, and vest Scandinavian language which is relevant with the ancient language "Norn" and the old Norwegian language "Sagnamal" It is exclusive to Iceland. from the
