I wouldn't wanna be in a club that wouldn't let me in...

I think that Iran can say whatever it wants, but I don't think the American government actually believes Iran.  They just told the public that the weapon program was stopped in order to make everyone feel as if we're not in danger.  But, in reality, I'm sure America has all their intelligence working hard to see exactly what Iran is doing.  There's no trust at all between the western-world and Iran.

We recently learned that U.S. intelligence on Sadam Hussein's program for development of weapons of mass destruction was based on the input of a very unreliable source. This leads me to doubt the quality of American intelligence. The U.S. has probably the most sophisticated intelligence gathering systems in the world, but that is not enough. Intelligence must be intelligently sifted and analyzed and I think this is definitely the U.S. achilles heel. I think there is too much wishful thinking here and another important point that has also been a failure in U.S. thinking. If we don't make too much of it the other side will not be embarrassed and quietly see that problems are  corrected. There is absolutely no understanding of Muslim mentality. I would therefore much prefer to rely on Israeli intelligence that has proven itself many times over in the past.

As my fellow Yeddais pointed out intelligence is a powerful tool but not an omnipotent one. I believe that American intelligence is quite advanced but I really don't think it can be relied upon in an absolute way.

It is quite possible that in some underground bunker the nation of Iran is taking its first steps towards achieving nuclear power. Satellite surveillance technology can only carry you so far and after that you're going to need field teams gathering information real time. It won't surprise me at all if in another two years we'll here on the news that Iran completed a nuclear test.

I think technology gives us an illusion of control and that illusion burst in the face of the US regarding Iraq. I have a feeling it might happen again regarding Iran, only in the opposite direction.

All the best.

There is nothing wrong with american intellegene, you just don't know what they're doing, and you don't know anything they don't want you to know, and if they want you to know something else in place of what they don't want you to know then you will know that instead, in m0re direct answere to the question, i think that we have not yet found proof that iran is developing nuclear weapons, but that does not mean we are not still looking, i am posative that if they would have said iran is developing nuclear weappons this whole country(america) would go ape shit saying that there wasn't any weapons in iraq and now they want us to believe there are some in iran they're just war mongers and blah blah blah oil and blah blah liars idiots and blah blah blah. For the record we did find a mobile anthrax lab whene we investigated iraq and anyone who doesn't think that is a weapon of mass destruction, not that we needed to find anything, there was plenty of other reasons to invade iraq.

forgetabout your problems because with sadness you cannot resolve them.

The way Ahmadi Nejad is behaving, gives the impression to  the whole world  that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. Of course if from the very begining Iran contributed with the agency with transparency this impass would'nt block the trust and the way to negociation.

I wish very soon this problem can  be resolved and the people of Iran lives in peace.I think we don't need nuclear weapons. What we need is education, health, hygien, excellent dilpomacy with all the countries specially our voisinaga countries,(neighbours)and the relief of poverty and the inflation .
