Yes, it is a good idea to invest your money in a currency that is doing well, whether it's the euro, pound, etc.  You can also open a foreign account, in Switzerland, for example.  I've heard that this is a very smart thing to do, especially right now.

Yes.  Overall, the euro currency will potentially be one of the world's most stable currencies.  It is just getting started.

Remember that the world of foreign currency is rather risky. If you feel like taking a bit of a chance perhaps it's a good idea but there are more solid ways to go as far as investing goes. It really depends on how you want to play around with your money.

I think you shoud'nt.....

The US dollar is becoming strong for 2 reasons:

1) the interest rate has fallen which means people have more money to spend
2) oil is cheaper at the moment because China put 1 million cars off the road and stopped alot of industry while the olympics were on. Because people have more money due to cheaper oil, they can spend more. This also includes cheaper oil around the world, thus exports are increasing in the US, thus driving up the US dollar.

No one knows how any currency will fair in the future. Its like asking someone if it will rain on the 5th of Feb 2009. No one knows.
