have 2 computer winxp, win2000, both same problem
I go to a page with options to go to another page, my computers show only 2 of 3 options other computers list, how can any of my settings change some one elses page and what settings would they be?
There is never a good time to buy a new computer.
Thinking that you may need to post some more details on this one.
Is this a public website or internal to your company? Do you have to do anything to display the 3 options or are they normally just on the page as links? Dropdown menus? Is this a website that you have to log in to? Are you using the same browser (firefox, internet explorer) as the other folks?
Any chance of post a link to the site in question?
home website
links just appear with one missing, page otherwise identical as on other comps
I use IE6 and in past page worked on my comps as on others
no dropdowns
yes, login
Check your encoding. Try other encodings then the default one your computer is set to use. This had been known to solve problems like this before.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.
When an answer is posted by someone who was invited (byYedda or by yourself) to answer your question, their answer is marked with a yellow "invited by Yedda".

Of course, the more helpful your answers are, the more likely you are to be invited to future questions...
don't know enough to change encodings but
2 options on a public library site that are visible are (both underlined):
(5) items currently checked out
(6) requests (holds)
missing one is:
personal history
Can't remember if this is underlined on other sites
Changing encoding is very easy. All you have do is right click on your mouse and choose encoding. Good one to try is Unicode. Try ticking the Auto-select as well.
