Internet marketing for beginners

I'm looking for a good website with advice for beginners in the field of internet marketing. There are so many of them and most of them don't look very serious.

I'm not talking about pro sites, I just think that it's an interesting field and a friend of mine asked me for an advice on how to promote her site and I thought it's a good chance to get to know with this field.

vulpes, the term "Internet Marketing" can mean a lot of things so I'm not sure what I'm telling you is relevant, but - if you're looking for an easy-to-read book that explains how to market your online business for the search engines, I think SEOBook.com is the best resource to use.

Start with Forum Discussion. Create an account in Internet marketing category forums and start the discussion with forum users. If you have any doubt or any updates in Internet Marketing just post a thread in the forums. I think it's help a lot to you.
