Internet Connection

Does anyone know how to get a PC laptop to find an internet connection? When I am over at my friend's house, my computer doesn't even read there is a wireless setup nearby. Is there something I can do to make my computer recognize a wireless connection?

I really appreciate any help with this!!  Laughing

Instant Person-Just add coffee.

You might try looking in the lower right-hand toolbar for an icon for the network.  If you click on it, it should give you the wireless networks available to you.  At least, mine works that way, and I hope it will work for you.

If all you can use at the time is wi-fi, place curcer over the computer icon lower right hand corner of your screen, right click, and then click on connect. Ususllay the left click. Happy clickings to you.

Go to your internet connections and click refresh.  You should see if there are any wireless signals strong enough for you to connect and see if they are non secured.  If so your in luck.  If your friend has wireless internet just ask her for the passcode to connect.
