Interent Twitter & facebook , what are there fuctions to the people?

What is Twitter.com fuction ?. Is it really about persons typing little things, like I just had a soda And small boring talk . like who cares. etc lol.  Or is there more to it,  Groups of interest  and same questions for Facebook does the same apply to Facebook is that what they have to offer , life that boring , that each of the other wants to post , well I just had a sandwich and now blb blab? I would hope there is more interesting things on these 2 websites  then that. It mlike get a life if that s all they have to offer. I ohope there is far more theyoffer then what I been told. Thanks

While I don't understand twitter, I love facebook. It connects people. Also I amongst many others love the game farmville.

This article was written last February about the popularity of Twitter. I for one have never used it and have on plans on using it.
