Hello Marika,
In our 7th grade classroom we had the students create their own webpage that we connected to our school website when they were completed. The task was to read a novel and then using microsoft publisher proceed to make their webpage on the book they read. Some of the criteria the teacher listed were: author's name, title of book, genre of book, at least three images or photos or pictures pertaining to subject of book, an original quote or comment about the book, two live links that went out on the internet either to the author's webpage or to a review of the book. And for the grade of A+ they were to write an original next chapter of the book, or create a new alternate ending. That writing piece needed to be proofread by the English teacher and handed in prior to being posted on the webpage itself, so she could edit the writing before posting it. Then we had the students do a peer review by every student reading and evaluating someone else's webpage to "grade" the webpage. The best webpages were posted to our school website www.skanschools.org This assignment worked very well and the students enjoyed it very much. We had some terrific webpages created. The important part for the teacher is to create a directions page to list all of the criteria you want to grade on the webpage and then to have a rubric sheet so the student knows what grade he/she will obtain as they work along on their webpage. I hope this helps. Good luck.
