Instructions for "Dazey VACUUM Seal-a-Meal"

I have gotten a "Dazey Vacuum Seal-a-Meal" (Model #sam3). Is there supposed to be a hose or some other attachment to make the suction work. The motor is working. I am using the plastic bags from a regular seal a meal. Do I need special bags? Rival bought Dazey years ago so the new models are different.
