Do you know of any Instant messenger program that has the look of msn messenger that work for a LAN without the need for an internet conection or any that do both things? I'd also appreciate any help on how to configure it

There are a lot of good IM programs for LAN that doesn't require an internet connection. The best one (and also award winning) for my opinion is the Outlook IM because it has the best options of communication in the office.
