I found the answer to my question before I read your response. It was a soft tick. I will paste the website where I found it. http://www.whatsthatbug.com/ticks.html It is the tick shown with the dime.
Thanks for your help though! I gave both dogs a does of Frontline Plus and I did check them thoroughly!
