Increase walking speed

I have been walking for 3 months.  I walk 3-5 miles per day in 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. I would like to increase my speed, however, I find that it is taking me 1-2 miles to get full range of motion in my ankles.  Any ideas?

You should try doing some foot and ankle range of motion exercises before your walks. Here is a youtube video that you can use:

Just stay the course. It will inprove give it time. You might be in a hurry and hurt yourself.
