I will be watching both the swearing in ceremonies and the parade on television, on a channel as free of pundit commentary as possible. It's an historic event in many more ways than one - for one thing, at last we will have a smart, thoughtful person as president. I was impressed during the campaign, but have been even more so during this transition period.
BTW, Obama is a good writer himself (his two books were written by him, as opposed to having been written "with" another writer). I do believe that most of his speeches have been his own as well, although there surely has been factual input from others. It will be interesting to hear this one. Don't look for a laundry list of promises, but rather for inspiration.
