i am a 1st year student in college at the age of 45,  i need to know the difference between the venous and arterial systems by Friday   (please help)

The arteries are red and the veins are blue. But seriously, Lisa, the systemic arterial system is for the purpose of delivering oxygen to the body. Oxygen exchange occurs the the capillary system. The systemic venous system delivers deoxygenated blood to the right side of the heart. The pulmonary arterial system delivers deoxygenated blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen and unload carbon dioxide. The pulmonary venous system delivers oxygenated blood to the left side of the heart. You have passed go. Collect $200.00.
