Immigration right for civil partnership in UK

I'm a 23 year old male of Indian nationality. If I go for civil partnership with some one who's a full British citizen, will that allow me to live and work in the UK immediately? How long does it take for me to be a full British passport holder? thanks

Can't speak for the UK, but I know most countries (including the US) offer expedited citizenship and an almost immediate work visa to the civil/domestic partner, or spouse of a naturalized or local born citizen.  Contacting the Indian consulate in the UK would probably be your best bet because they'd be more familiar with the local regs in the area you're looking to immigrate to.

US doesn't do civil partnership.. it's being ratified right now.

I was thinking domestic partnership (gay marriage), civil partnership I'm guessing is a bit different?
