Ignore a thread in Outlook?

Outlook is not the most friendly thing in the world, but I'd like to create a script (or somehow figure out a way) to help me ignore all messages in a given conversation thread.  In Outlook, this is typically done through Rules, but the interface is clumsy.

What I really want is a way to right click on a message and say "ignore all messages in this thread" and be done with it.  I subscribe to some active mailing lists that have threads that need to be ignored.

This isn't a full answer, but 43Folders had an item requesting help on "windows email tricks" that included a lot of comments that could be useful: http://www.43folders.com/2006/08/27/windows-email/.

That link is looking good, thanks for sharing.

Did you consider using Mozilla Thunderbird instead? There's an extesion for ignoring threads:

(edit: it works in newsgroups only...)
