Thanks Mack, but the dog I saw was smaller, thinner, had more black patches and was slightly less ugly 
. I'm prrety sure it's not the same breed, but you were quite close. I'll take a look at the site you suggested, maybe I'll find it there, but it's going to take some time. If anyone else knows, please do tell.
