Safe Ovarian Stimulation after Breast Cancer

IVF after breast cancer can be tricky; the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) normally used in ovarian stimulation in IVF treatment raises the estrogen level, which could trigger the recurrence of breast cancer. Dr. Kutluk Oktay of Center for Human Reproduction explains how a different ovarian stimulation protocol, using letrozole, can be a solution for breast cancer survivors undergoing IVF treatment to have children.
