I'm thinking about buying one of those iRobot 560 Roomba machines. They look really handy and like they would save a lot of time. I would probably use it in the living room and kitchen as those are much more open spaces; although I think they have sensors and such. Any suggestions? Is the iRobot 560 Roomba better or worse than the Cleanmate 365 Robot Vacuum?

The few people that I have spoken to that owned these felt that they were expensive gadgets at best and only mediocre vacuum cleaners.
