I think it's a great idea to greet the interviewer in French. But if you plan to greet the interviewer in French, be prepared that the interviewer may think you speak fluent French and if you don't, that may be a problem. Otherwise (meaning if you don't speak French other than a few words), I'd suggest greeting the interviewer in English and possibly at the end of the interview, you can say goodbye in French.
