Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
Sure not.  The income tax in most countries is moderated.  Until a certain amount (say X) one doesn't pay at all.... between X and Y one pays a low percentage, between Y and Z the percentage increases, etc, etc etc ...... so at high income one pays the maximum.
Best regards,

OronD you probably mean "progresive" not "moderated".... the rates get high as one's salary progresses (increases).

A single taxpayer with $40,000 income pays just under 25%, and at $300,000 its under 33%, with the maximum being 35%. The filing married couple numbers are 15%, 33% and 35%.
