You should probably see an endocrinologist. With a very simple synthesized hormone you can be completely balanced. In addition, you should probably make sure to keep a steady level of exercise, which will help you "jump start" your metabolism, and keep your calories expenditure at an acceptable level.

if you are suffering from low thyroid levels and still have your thyroid the medications may bring you back to normal. there are several types out there, and one may work better than the other, so find a good endocrinologist who will listen to you and be open to your input as to how the medications are affecting you. and of course when you are on the medication--watch out for those soy products (soy seems to be in almost everything these days! and antacids ... if you are on medication those products can block the absorption of the drug. i have not had a thyroid in over 13 years, it takes alot of trial and error ..so be patient with yourself. and good luck

Yes you can lose weight, read this testimonial. "I have had thyroid problems for over 30 yrs and had to take 150mg of thyroxine daily all those years to control my weight. This high dosage of medication has taken its toll, the Dosage was far too high and I was suffering from lethargy and weight was creeping on. The Doctor had suggested reducing the dosage but I was afraid I would end up very fat. I started to get very depressed as I couldn’t see how I could possibly reduce the dosage without feeling unwell and putting on weight. I was so upset by it all that my daughter Tracey suggested I have a word with her friend Jan who offered advice on weight loss. Jan told me all about Herbalife and the benefits of good nutrition and advised me how to take Formula 1 around my medication. I was amazed when I started to lose weight for the 1st time ever and started to feel fitter and younger than I had for years. My depression lifted & my medication has been reduced by 25%. My husband was so impressed he also decided to try it for himself. We are both enjoying renewed energy, we like to travel and Herbalife goes everywhere with us now." Yes, it is possible, it just takes sticking with a program that works. Just like healthy people that want to lose weight. For several years I thought my weight gain was just due to age, then a test revealed that I have hypothyroidism. I had never had a weight problem before and it was hard to deal with. Then I finally found a program that allowed me to get my weight back to normal. I follow it and it works. One necessary thing for me about choosing a program was cost and this one didn't require me to buy packaged meals at rediculous prices. I can't tell you how great it feels to be back in my jeans again. They have lots of success stories so it isn't just me. Maybe it would work for you too. Strip That Fat & it is guaranteed It would certainly be worth a try. Good luck to you.  I hope it helps you as much as it helped me. #mce_temp_url#
