The only difference between an ordeal and an adventure is attitude.

Hurt myself by falling on my car.

I was not in an automobile accident but rather injured myself when I fell onto my car. I preparing to leave my home and was approaching my car when I turned my ankle and fell face first into the hood of my car. I hit my mouth and broke a front tooth and knocked loose a permanent 6 span bridge. I bruised my gums and cut my lip but was in no pain from my tooth as it broke below the nerve. As this happened on a Sunday and I was in no real pain I was not able to get into an emergency dental facility. I was not able to see my dentist until the following Tuesday because she did not consider it an emergency since there was no pain. The whole ordeal ended up costing me over $6,000.00 in uninsured dental expenses and it is still not over. I have been told that my PIP coverage may or may not cover $5,000.00 of this expense. I had no idea it might cover my own clumsyness. What does the community think?
