What's funny is I just answered a question on funny best man speech examples only a few hours ago ...
Well for my best man speech I decided to leave it for the evening before the wedding! Ha ha, I laugh now but then I was a wreck ... I panicked for an hour, followed by self pity, disbelief etc.
Anyway, I managed something intelligent for a change - I searched examples of humorous best man toasts on the internet and came across Dan Stevens best man's speeches . I think there was a small fee at the time, about 19/20 dollars (might be more now - should be). What I did was I quickly decided which speech would best suit my style and the occasion, then copied most of it (ahem) added some of the free jokes, hardly changed much at all.
I didn't bother to memorize the speech, I read from some cards. The reaction was excellent (much to my relief) everybody laughed a lot, which was fantastic because that's not something my personality normally allows (intentionally that is). The speech / toast came across very professional and there were quite a few surprised friends (and especially the groom), as knowing my slightly unreliable reputation - I guess it was not expected!
Anyway, best thing I ever did, you'd do well to check out those humorous wedding toasts.
