Human bodies medical purposes

Where do human bodies designated for medical purposes  come from?  Is it only from donors, is it enough?   Is there a price for a body? Are they  buried afterwards?

If you will it... it is no dream

Yes, I believe that people volunteer for their body to be able to be used for research when they die.  For example, if one knew they were going to die from colon cancer... they could decide to donate their body to colon cancer research.  I don't think there's a price for this.  If there is, I've never heard of people buying bodies.

As far as I know:

1. There is no shortage of donated bodies.

2. There's no price for them, they are not sold or bought.

3. The remains of the bodies are buried or burned after the research is completed, according to the donor's request.
