what is a farm animal
One you would find on a farm. Like a chicken, pig, cow, horse, goat...
Farms today are much more complicated than they were 50 years ago when the "farm" could house the standard animals that produced meat, dairy products and eggs. Today we have farms that specialize in perfecting particular breeds of animals or crossing certain breeds to create new breeds and species for a variety of different manmade markets. Any animal can be considered a farm animal and does not necessarily have to be of the standard agricultural varieties. It is not so much the variety of creatures housed as the meaning of "farm" today.
