Can I follow the same procedure on a bathroom sink faucet. I was told buy a Plumber that because the fixture was 20 years old the entire fixture had to be replaced. According to "Your advice I should just have to replace the washer assembly. Looking forward to Your response, as I was about to have the Plumber in and replace two entire fixtures in the bath. (The vanity has matching sinks).
