Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge

I am thinking about purchasing a Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge for my first steam cleaner. My sister has convinced me that I can save money by purchasing the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge. She owns one and swears by it.

She says, however, that it requires detailed maintenance as you use it to make sure it lasts.

Does anyone have experience with the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge?

Hello Pat,

I've owned a Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge for almost a year and a half and I love it. As for your "maintenance" question, I have found that if you clean it after every use, it runs great and will last a long time.

Here is a tip that I learned about the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge : If you use white vinegar every other cleaning instead of the expensive cleaning solution you will save a huge amount of money.
