Would you get a car that runs on water?
To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.
I saw this car on the news yesterday and thought to myself with the price of gas going up everyday; I would be willing to buy a car like this. In the past I owned several Hondas, and I have been driving a Mazda for the last 3 years. I will continue to buy cars from Japan based on their technology, and based on your recommendation of your FCX.
This car creates zero emissions and might become a popular contender among green consumers in a few years. However, the problem now is that fueling and service facilities needed to support it are confined to southern California. The popularity of the car will depend upon how long it takes Honda to expand to new regions.

Support Infrastructure is the main problem with the hydrogen car, as greatwhale mentioned. There are very few hydrogen fueling stations available outside select cities in Southern California, and unless you can afford the tens of thousands of dollars for a hydrogen conversion system to reliably produce fuel at your home you're going to be out of fuel rather quickly. The FCX and other hydrogen cars won't really take off until people demand and build stations to support them.

Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.
What would you get with a car that runs on water?
SERIOUSLY HUGE TIRES.
The oil companies are certainly not going to take new technology lying down. Personally, I have my doubts about all this global warming and whether or not that man is the cause. But that notwithstanding, all one has to do is drive down the street and check for litter. Many cars do not go thru inspection. I feel like I am no maneuvers with smoke screens being lain down. Flying over Brazil shows incredible deforestation. We are not taking good care of our home. Did I mention water pollution?

Better to give than to Receive
A car with high performance parts that runs on water would save motorists a significant amount of money every year on fuel. Because the hydrogen generator in the car's engine would help to thin out and water down the gasoline, a significantly less amount of gasoline would be used each year.
