It depends on age ,milage, and what happened to it, Honda has a 3yr/36thsd.mile waranty, on bumper to bumper, emissions is 5yr/50 thsd. mile. If the vehicle was involed in an accident or if aftermarket parts were install your pretty much on your know for the repairs.

My 2007 Honda Fit was 15 months old had appr. 26,000 miles, so you would think it was fully covered by warranty. The local dealer that I purchased and took the car to when the A/C quit, said my condenser had a hole in it due to road debris, and was not covered by the warranty, and that the cost of a new condenser and O-ring would cost abt $500 to replace. This has upset me greatly, this being my 1st Honda purchase, and my last. The dealer advised that I call Honda, and that they would probably authorize the repair. I called Honda and they also refused to authorize to repair my car, same line that it was caused by road debris. I have never had a dealer  refuse to fix anything that the car was still with warranty. I checked online, and it seems im not alone, that alot of Honda owners have had the same problems with the condenser with the same out come as mine. Honda wont issue a recall and is refusing to replace the condensers. The service manager also told me they had 4 other cars in for repairs on the condensers that they were not replacing under warranty........so to sum it up, I intend on telling everyone I come in contact with to stay away from Honda and the Honda dealership  Vic Bailey Honda in Spartanburg, SC.

Thank you for your reply, if you know of anything else I could do about this matter, please let me know.

Regards,

Yetta

You can do a couple of things one is to contact your auto insurance and see if they can help. The other is to contact Honda of America they should be listed on the web if not than contact your dealer and ask for the info.(Call honda, write them and E-mail them) state your case and don't back down.As far as I know Bumper to bumper waranty is just that it covers everything from one bumper to the other bumper (including condensors) Good Luck - Mike
