There are many kinds of homeostasis. Maintaining your body homeostasis is work that your body does without you even realizing it. When your body is cold you shiver to increase your body temperature. Hair erectile muscles also contracts to make our hairs stand to trap air, which is a good insulator of heat. These help to keep us warm. Muscles also helps regulate our blood glucose levels. When glucose concentration is high in your blood, insulin is secreted into the blood stream by the pancreas. Insulin converts glucose into glycogen, which is then stored in the liver and muscles as energy reserves. There are all examples of your body maintaining its homeostasis.
