I enjoy using Yedda to ask and answer medical questions. I previously worked as a nurse but am now based from home - having just completed a long spell of breast cancer treatment.

Life has also been busy lately after the arrival of our new puppy called poppy. She's a black labarador retriever and drives us all crazy at times but we just adore the buzz she brings to the house. Last week she caused me a shoulder injury by tugging when out walking - but I can forgive that for the fun she brings. Other sites I like to visit are:

There are many different types of fungus and each requires its own treatment. Please be specific.

Teatree oil is used a lot for certain types of skin fungus, if that is any help.

Here are some common emedies for skin fungus like yeast infection:

Take Olive leaf extract 2 times a day.
Put 1 garlic clove in cheesecloth and insert into infected area. Leave it hanging out so you can take out after 15 min.
Coat a tampon in the yogurt. Insert before you go to bed (at least 8 hours). Remove in the morning.
Pour a half cup of vinegar and a half cup of salt into a warm bath. Soak in for about 20 minutes.
Drink fresh strawberry or cranberry juice 5+ times and day.
Mix 15 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract to a small glass of water or juice. Drink 2-3 times a day.
Boil water in a pot; add wheat bran, stir, drain and pour into a wash tub. Sit in it for 15-30 minutes. Can repeat 1-3 times a day.
Natural remedy for yeast infection: Drink one glass of buttermilk before you go to bed. Repeat daily
Apply baby oil to the infected areas at least twice a day (For external itching only).
