My best friend told me that it's easy to assume that food in restaurants is less healthy than food that you would make in your own home. Do you think there is truth to this claim?
I think that it all depends on what you cook at home and where you might go out to dinner. If you cook at home and make a "made from scratch meal" (not frozen, premade or prepackaged) using frech veggies, low fat/lean meat, and more chicken than beef or pork then you are most likely eating better at home. It also depends on how much you are willing to spend for groceries or restaraunt meals each week. Usually the more you spend on groceries buying organic, fresh food the better off you'll be. If you want to eat well at a resturant don't order alot of white pasta or white sauce (white spaghetti and alfredo). Instead order an grilled chicken or fish dish with a salad and brown rice and you'll be alot better off.
