Per articles that I've read, it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 years to turn a profit. Again, this is an average and alot depends on the amount of time, money, effort you put into it.

Your direction,not your intention,determines your destination

Seems to be that it would depend on the business, time and effort put into making it a profitable business, if it can be made to be one eventually and the time the money supply will play out. Maybe two to three years for a good business with everything going right, and up to 5 or 6 for a not so bad business.

To get a new home based business to a profitable level there are several things to keep in mind.  At first, you have to know in which type of business you can earn money.  Then you must consider how much time, effort and dedication you can give to your new business.  These are essential for success.  Moreover, you have to have a good knowledge and skill of your respective field.  Good luck!
