Home-made Christmas decorations

Does anyone have ideas for home-made Christmas decorations? I offered to watch my friends' kids while they go to a christmas party and am trying to think of fun ways to entertain them. My apartment is under-decorated so I thought that they could help me in that area. Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated! I think I can only get the children to watch Charlie Brown's Christmas so many times. Thanks

i love food... really any food

There are some really cool Crayola items that you can get from any toy/drug store.  There are these markers that you can draw with on black paper, and it comes out florescent... it's really cool.  They can draw with these, which will entertain them for a while, and will also create some fun things to hang up.  You could also draw things on strips of paper and make chains with the paper... then hang the chain from the roof.  That's always fun.

Glue popscicle sticks together to form a star.  Paint and glitter.  Make paper chains.  String cranberries to make long chains.  Take a Reader's Digest and fold the upper corner of each page to the center.  This makes a Christmas Tree shape.  Spray paint white, green, or gold (or whatever).  Cut out old Christmas cards to make gift labels.
