Holly Hunter Laura San Giacomo Saving Grace

Holly Hunter, Oscar winning actress is to debut on her own TV series with TV veteran Laura San Giacomo. The role is (as might be expected) a quirky -- and flawed -- character again. She's a cynical Oklahoma City detective who drinks too much, is having an affair with a married man, and -- needless to say -- is driving down the road to self-destruction.

Aren't they afraid San Giacomo will steal the show, or is it all very amicable?

Premiere is on  July 23 (Monday) at 10 pm E.T.

I agree with Pam.  I think that they just want the strongest cast possible. Having Laura San Giacomo in support of Holly Hunter should make for a great show.

Why not give the History Detectives a crack at it! Most of the mysteries featured on HISTORY DETECTIVES come from viewers' e-mail submissions. In the past season alone the Detectives have helped a Lexington, North Carolina viewer reunite a moving World War II diary with the family of its author; checked out an antique typewriter which a Portland, Oregon viewer thought may have belonged to World War II journalist Ernie Pyle; examined an old instrument panel owned by a Hoboken, New Jersey man to see if it might have been recovered from the crash of the Hindenburg.
