Himalayan throwing up....

my himalayan cat started throwing up 2 nights ago, and threw up a large hairball. but he didn't stop vomiting. i took him to the vet on tuesday and he gave him nausea medicine and sent him home. He hasn't eaten anything in 2 days and just mopes around. this afternoon he threw up again, this time it was a darkish brownish color! really dark almost black or dark green! i took him back in this afternoon to the vet, who put him on iv and antibiotics. he is in the vet hospital tonite. the vet doesn't think it's from hairballs. but i seem to think it is. have any of you with long-haired cats ever had this to happen, with the dark throw-up? I am really concerned. the vet thinks he may have swallowed something that is causing a blockage. Jingles bathes himself almost constantly, we had him at the emergency clinic 6 months ago with similar symptoms. any ideas? i want my kitty better!

i know how you feel i have 7 cats and i may not be a Dr. but i know what i am talking about! i would say that your cat should be alright i to think that it is just a hairball. it is not likly that a cat would try to eat somthing so big it could block anything. but just to be shure (like i said before i am not a Dr.) i would mostly listen to the Dr. and try your best to take good care of your cat (and watch what it is eating!) hope your cat gets better!
