Just bought a Fiat Punto, 2001 - which we have only had for 1 week and it has started making a high pitch beeping noise, from near the fuel pump area. The noise is constant, from as soon as you turn the car on, until you turn it off. There is also a faint smell of petrol at times. The car has a good service history, with Fiat, and it was only serviced a month ago, so we are a bit concerned as to what this noise could be? Not good as we have only just bought it!
