The easiest way is not to undergo spells of heavy drinking in the first place. However, in today's society, that is frequently frowned upon ("wet blanket", "teetotaler", weird) Or, someone accidentally goes too far.
If the spell of drinking was an acute incident, i.e. not a frequent occurence, and is not likely to become a habit, then the easiest way to help the liver to recover is not to be continually "attacked" by toxins. (In other words, don't make a habit of it.) Then, the easiest treatment is a high carbohydrate diet for a few days. This will give the liver cells a rest from having to deal with additional toxins, and allow them to recover. It's best to avoid fatty foods for a few days, as well, as these tend to cause the liver cells to have to work overtime.
So, the short answer is a high carbohydrate diet (cakes, candy, jelly donuts)--everything that your mother told you to avoid.
Of course, this presupposes that you do not have diabetes. Then, all bets are off; you shouldn't have been drinking, anyway.
