How can I find files on my computer after I have reinstalled Windows XP?

start->search->for files and folders

You might want to try going to HP_PAVILION (C:) file, my computer reset, and it wiped everything out, but all the stuff was in there. Go to documents and setting in the HP_PAVILION (C:) , then go to owners documents or wherever the stuff is you're looking for. I hope this helps!

How did you reinstall Windows XP? From the CDs that came with the laptop or by using an XP CD and formating the Partition? If you answered yes for one of these questions than your files are gone.
